Other qualities

Pricing adjustments (premiums or discounts) may be made for other undesirable quality characteristics including (but not limited to):

• Grass or bark in the sample.

• Contamination.

• Sugars (honeydew).

• Neps.

A number of other fibre characteristics measured by HVI™ instruments which, whilst of increasing importance to spinners, currently do not have a
direct impact on price, include:

• Length uniformity Index.

• Elongation.

• Short fibre (fibres shorter than 12.7 mm or 0.5 inch).

• Maturity.
